ACTINOLIN

Actinolin is based on the beneficial bacteria Streptomyces lydicus. Actinolin is a microbial fungicide that effectively protects against many common foliar and soil-borne diseases. It can act as a powerful tool in organic farming because of its novel mode of action in comparison with conventional, chemical fungicides. Actinolin produces several by-products to aid in plant health including siderophores and fungal cell wall degradation by enzymes and antibiotic action.

Mode of Action
Soil Application

When applied in the root zone, the beneficial microbes in Actinolin colonize around the plant’s root in the rhizosphere to form a defensive barrier.

Foliar Application

When applied as a foliar spray, the microbes in Actinolin attach to the leaf and disrupt and disable harmful pathogens including Botrytis and Powdery Mildew.
