TRICHOLIN

Tricholin is an eco-friendly microbial control agent. It consists of Trichoderma viride, a fungus that is present in substantial numbers in soil where cultivation can take place and in other environments such as decaying wood. Trichoderma controls diseases by the production of several lytic enzymes and antibiotics that control disease causing microbes. It competes with other disease causing microbes for nutrients and space. It also solubilizes phosphates and micronutrients. They grow tropically towards Hyphae or other fungi, coil about them in a lectin mediated reaction and degrade cell walls of the target fungi. This process (mycoparasitism) limits growth and activity of plant pathogenic fungi. Mycoparasites produce cell wall degrading enzymes which allow them to bore holes into other fungi and extract nutrients for their own growth. Tricholin helps in the control of Root Rot, Rhizome Rot, Wilt, Red Rot, Stem Rot, Damping off, Blight, Blasts, Leaf spots, etc.
